Fly By Nite, the Redditch-based specialist in entertainment transport, has strategically augmented its fleet with four new temperature-controlled trailers from Tiger Trailers. These state-of-the-art trailers are set to significantly enhance Fly By Nite’s capabilities in serving touring orchestras. By maintaining a consistent internal temperature of 21 degrees, these trailers are crucial for preventing damage to sensitive musical instruments, such as cellos, that require stable conditions to avoid cracking or splitting during transit.
Richard Brown, the transport manager for Fly By Nite, acknowledged the high standard and timely delivery of the trailers by Tiger. He remarked that the temperature-controlled trailers provide an extra layer of specialisation to their orchestral clients, describing them as an invaluable asset to their operations. This development is indicative of Fly By Nite’s dedication to offering tailored services for the unique needs of their clients.
The new trailers come equipped with a series of custom adaptations, including a 970mm coupling height, twin hamburger-style rear lights, and added sensors and switches for improved interior lighting utility. They also feature a unique alloy ramp carrier and a lockable door cam protector. These enhancements cater specifically to Fly By Nite’s operational preferences and showcase the close collaboration between Fly By Nite and Tiger Trailers.
A key focus in the design was the secure transport of valuable orchestral instruments. To this end, Tiger Trailers incorporated three rows of horizontal E-tracks at differing heights, alongside vertical E-tracks running from the trailer roof down each side. This sophisticated design ensures instruments are firmly secured during transit, meeting the precise demands of Fly By Nite.
Thomas Stott of Tiger Trailers expressed satisfaction in delivering a product that aligns perfectly with Fly By Nite’s high-profile, time-sensitive work. The new trailers, which have been operational across UK and European tours, underscore the successful partnership between Tiger Trailers and Fly By Nite, with Tiger-built vehicles visibly serving some of the world’s most iconic entertainment figures.
These new trailers mark a significant upgrade in Fly By Nite’s service offerings, reinforcing their position as a leader in entertainment transport.
