Crafter’s Companion, a business established by renowned entrepreneur Sara Davies, has introduced a new brand identity developed by Finn. This rebranding effort signifies a shift towards a more modern and contemporary image for the company, which has seen significant growth beyond the crafting surge experienced during lockdown periods.
Finn was entrusted with the task of conducting a full-scale review and repositioning of Crafter’s Companion. After extensive research and audience segmentation, Finn unveiled a new brand identity and a comprehensive design system, aiming to reposition Crafter’s Companion at the core of a vast and varied crafting community. This new identity is currently being implemented by Crafter’s Companion’s in-house team across the company’s website, social media platforms, and product packaging.
Richard Rawlins, founder of Finn, articulated the collaborative effort with Crafter’s Companion, stating, “Working collaboratively with the client team, our audience research and segmentation identified a new growth audience for the brand. We developed a new brand strategy to reposition Crafter’s Companion as the central hub for a large and diverse community of crafters.” This collaboration not only established a strategic pathway but also crafted a vibrant and appealing new visual identity meant to attract and engage new audiences.
David Stern, executive chairman at Crafter’s Companion, expressed satisfaction with Finn’s understanding of the brand’s aspirations and their ability to develop a creative strategy that resonates with their growth targets. Stern highlighted that Finn’s collaborative approach enabled the swift and effective realization of an innovative solution that aligns with the company’s ambitions. “Finn did a great job in really understanding our ambitions for the brand and helping us to develop a creative strategy aligned to our growth ambitions,” Stern noted.
The rebranding process has involved integrated work streams and numerous workshops aimed at crafting a cohesive look and feel for Crafter’s Companion. This revamped identity not only aligns with Crafter’s Companion’s growth ambitions but also positions it as a central hub within the crafting community, appealing to a broader audience.
The successful rebranding by Finn positions Crafter’s Companion for continued growth and wider community engagement.
