In a significant development, Exodus Adventure Travels has rejoined the Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas), as part of its strategy to reinforce existing partnerships and explore new collaborations. Sam Seward, the managing director, stressed the fundamental role UK travel agents play in the company’s operations, highlighting that these agents have been integral since the company’s inception in the 1970s when their first overland trucks were on the road.
By rejoining Atas, Exodus aims to further showcase its leaders’ expertise and its extensive array of adventure travel options. Seward affirmed the company’s consistency in delivering excellent customer experiences, which promises substantial repeat booking potential for agents. Exodus’ offerings vary from hiking and cycling tours to wildlife and premium trips, maintaining a commitment to sustainability through initiatives such as re-wilding programmes and citizen science departures.
Exodus is also leveraging its 50th anniversary as a platform for launching new projects and hosting commemorative events. Notably, the company plans to host a mega-fam trip in Morocco, which will see 50 agents embark on four different itineraries, highlighting its unique offerings. Furthermore, Exodus has introduced a new booking system to provide more flexibility and choice for travellers, acknowledging the growing demand from customers to use regional airports, extend stays, and align with preferred airlines.
Seward acknowledged the unpredictable nature of the current market, influenced by factors like regional instability and economic pressures. Despite these challenges, the company has observed considerable growth in North American markets, particularly in the United States. Seward expressed optimism about Exodus’ market positioning as it looks forward to 2025, highlighting that the travel provider also offers agents training, webinars, and various marketing resources to bolster their business outcomes.
Exodus Adventure Travels’ strategic initiatives and reinforced agent partnerships signal promising growth in the evolving travel sector.
