Exodus Adventure Travels, celebrating its 50th anniversary, will host 50 travel agents on a familiarisation trip to Morocco, a gesture to acknowledge their longstanding support. This event coincides with the operator’s recognition as a B Corp, reflecting their ethical and sustainable business practices.
Sam Seward, managing director, commented: “The idea behind this was to do something big for the agent community which has been part of our story since 1974. The trade has been part of the development of the business; it’s a bit of a thank you.” With trade partners contributing significantly to Exodus’s success, this monumental fam trip deviates from their usual practice of limiting such trips to 12 agents.
Morocco, chosen for its strategic importance and strong connections with the operator, is also a focus due to recent challenges. The country has faced setbacks due to a devastating earthquake, and this initiative is aimed at aiding its tourism recovery. Seward noted, “The opportunity to bring 50 agents to Morocco and help bring tourism back and help the destination regain its momentum lost by the earthquake last year is a big motivation.”
To further aid recovery efforts, Exodus has raised approximately £55,000 through their foundation, illustrating their commitment to supporting Morocco’s infrastructural rebuilding. The trip offers a chance to reinforce this support.
Agents eager to join this unique experience can enter a draw by making bookings with Exodus between February 1 and the end of March. The selected agents will embark on the journey on November 9, 2024, with the itinerary divided into four distinct experiences: northern highlights; cities and desert; mountains and desert; and mountains and the coast. The journey will culminate in Marrakesh with a grand gala dinner.
In celebration of this milestone, the operator also announced 50 ‘special’ departures in 2024, featuring enhanced experiences across their popular tours, coinciding with their brand refresh.
Moreover, addressing the high-demand season, Exodus has introduced a trade-exclusive incentive of 10% off all new trips booked between February 20 and February 29 for 2023-2024, further encouraging engagement.
The upcoming trip to Morocco exemplifies Exodus’s dedication to its trade partners and its mission to support communities in need through tourism.
