In a strategic move to bolster its trade partnerships, Uniworld has announced substantial changes within its UK sales team. These adjustments are aimed at fortifying support for its collaborators, following an unprecedented year of sales success in the region.
Angela Sloan has been elevated to the role of director of sales, a decision reflecting her dedication and impactful contributions. Alongside her, Dawn Quinn and Lee Evanson have ascended to national sales manager positions, recognising their longstanding commitments and significant expertise within the company.
As an addition to this renewed team dynamic, David Broad steps in as a sales manager, bringing with him extensive experience from his previous roles at Real Response Media, JTA Travel, MSC Cruises, and Tui. His expertise is expected to further enhance Uniworld’s sales operations in the UK.
Amid these personnel changes, Chris Townson, the managing director for the UK and Europe, is relocating to Australia with his family. Despite this move, he will continue to oversee the UK and European markets, underscoring his commitment to maintaining strong industry relations. He plans to travel back to Europe quarterly for key industry events, including gatherings by CLIA and Uniworld’s annual meetings.
Townson remarked that the year has been Uniworld’s “best ever” concerning UK market sales, with figures showing a 35% increase compared to the same period in the previous record-setting year of 2022. He attributes this success to the dedicated and consistent team, both onboard and within the sales and marketing departments in the UK. He expressed enthusiasm for the promoted individuals, anticipating continued momentum into 2024.
The strategic reshuffle within Uniworld’s UK sales team signifies a commitment to maintaining and enhancing its record-breaking market performance.
