Evri, celebrating its half-century milestone, has strategically invested in a major fleet expansion with the acquisition of 139 twin-axle van trailers, exemplifying its commitment to growth and operational efficiency. The trailers, manufactured by Tiger, bear a distinctive livery to mark the company’s 50th anniversary, adding a visual reminder of its extensive history in the courier industry. Evri plans to bolster its service capabilities, particularly with the upcoming retail peak periods such as Black Friday and Christmas, by ensuring these trailers are operational by the end of Q4.
The delivery of these trailers is being orchestrated in three batches, with the first batch nearing completion. Tiger Trailers has been pivotal in delivering on Evri’s specific requirements, which include custom features like four-metre height, galvanised rear frames, and integrated rear buffers. Such specifications underscore Evri’s focus on tailoring its fleet to support its distinctive service propositions and operational demands.
David Landy, head of fleet at Evri, expressed his satisfaction, noting, “We’re delighted with the new trailers, they look great and are helping us celebrate our heritage and 50 years of courier deliveries.” This statement highlights the symbolic and practical significance of the new fleet additions in enhancing company identity and service capabilities.
Darren Holland, Tiger Trailers’ sales director, emphasised the ongoing collaborative relationship, stating, “It’s fantastic that we are continuing to strengthen the relationship with the Evri team. At each enquiry stage, we go through the same process of evaluation of the existing fleet to ensure that the final trailer design is perfect for the Evri operation.” This approach underscores the meticulous attention to detail and customisation involved in this project, ensuring alignment with Evri’s strategic operational goals.
With this expansion, Evri’s fleet of Tiger Trailers will surpass 525 units, illustrating a formidable investment in logistics infrastructure poised to enhance delivery efficiency and capacity.
This strategic fleet augmentation signifies Evri’s dedication to celebrating its heritage while equipping itself for future challenges and growth opportunities.
