Europa Worldwide Group has received two globally recognised accreditations that highlight its commitment to sustainability. The accreditations, specifically ISO 14001, which focuses on environmental protection, and ISO 50001, centred on energy management, were achieved across Europa’s UK-based divisions: Europa Air & Sea, Europa Warehouse, and Europa Road. This recognition is seen as the ‘gold standards’ in the supply chain industry, marking a substantial commitment to sustainability.
Achieving these accreditations was no small feat, as Europa undertook six months of in-depth analysis and benchmarking of operational activities across its 17 UK sites. This rigorous process involved assessing resource usage, waste management, and environmental performance monitoring, ensuring that their operations meet high environmental standards.
In addition to the ISO accreditations, Europa Worldwide Group has forged partnerships with Pledge and Microlise to further its sustainability agenda. Working with Pledge enables the company to provide accurate Scope 3 emissions reporting, a step forward in their environmental transparency. Meanwhile, their collaboration with Microlise is aimed at optimising fleet performance, further reducing their carbon footprint.
