Trade sales for Elegant Resorts have experienced a notable 10% rise compared to last year. This achievement is commendable given the prevailing economic uncertainties which have impacted the travel industry.
Katie Daniels, who joined as national account manager last November, has played a significant role in fortifying the company’s agent relationships. Her efforts have been acknowledged for driving the company’s sales forward in 2024.
To complement this growth, Elegant Resorts has initiated a new loyalty programme aimed at rewarding its top-performing agents. The scheme, known as the Connoisseurs Club, presents two levels of membership—Connoisseur Gold and Connoisseur Platinum. These tiers provide agents with a variety of perks, including guaranteed spots on familiarisation trips, personalised marketing materials, and priority interaction with specialists.
Speaking at the annual supplier awards ceremony, the managing director highlighted 2024 as a challenging year. Despite these difficulties, the company’s performance was strong, marked by a 25% growth in the festive quarter. However, there was a slowdown during the summer, which was less active than anticipated.
High-value bookings have shown promising trends, despite a decrease in the average booking value from £23,000 to £21,000. Notably, there were 38 transactions exceeding £100,000 in 2024. The data suggests that while clientele numbers have not dropped significantly, the amounts spent per booking have slightly reduced.
There has been evident growth in several key markets, including Asia with Thailand leading, followed by Australia, Barbados, New York, and Miami. For Elegant Resorts, the Maldives remains the top destination, boasting a 43% increase in bookings this year.
Looking ahead, the company is preparing for a significant brand refresh, aimed at reinforcing its market presence and further engaging travel enthusiasts.
As Elegant Resorts looks to the future, strategic initiatives are set to bolster client engagement and navigate economic challenges.
