Ecommpay, the global payments provider, has secured full accreditation from the Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC) for its website and product pages. This confirms that the company now meets WC3 WCAG 2.2 AA standards, one of the highest levels of digital accessibility compliance.
The achievement follows Ecommpay’s recent DAC certification for its mobile SDK and Hosted Payment Page, further reinforcing its commitment to inclusive digital experiences.
As part of its Ecommpay for Good inclusivity programme, the company redesigned and relaunched its website in 2024, introducing accessible colour palettes, typography, and layouts built to support users with visual, auditory, cognitive, and physical disabilities.
With its DAC-approved platform and dashboard, Ecommpay enables merchants to deliver seamless, compliant, and fully accessible payment journeys for all customers.
“At Ecommpay, inclusivity is built into everything we do, it is never an afterthought,” commented Max Ryzhov, Chief Product Officer at Ecommpay, who led the audit process with the DAC. “Every team across the business is committed to delivering an inclusive and accessible service to our merchant clients and their end customers. It is, therefore, essential that our website and payment platform support that commitment. So we have invested significantly in redesigning our systems and website.
“Throughout the process we have worked closely with the DAC, to ensure every part of every menu on every page aligns with WCAG guidelines. Working in partnership like this meant we were not only able to quickly rectify any minor issues flagged during the detailed audit; it also meant we gained invaluable insights that will help us as we design and build new products, solutions and web pages in future.
“To carry out the redesign fully, so that every element of our website and payment platform are fully accessible has not been a quick or easy task, but the team has remained focused and determined to reach this important goal. Achieving this DAC approval is testament to everyone’s commitment and perseverance, and their ability to remain focused on the bigger priority of ultimate inclusivity.”
Ecommpay is enabling merchants to improve their digital presence with free access to a Guide to Digital Accessibility which outlines the actions needed to meet the WC3 WCAG 2.2 AA standard for accessibility. It covers every aspect of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines with a checklist for developers to reference as they build and maintain their websites. It can be accessed from the Ecommpay website as an HTML or PDF.
