DX has recently expanded its 2-Man division by inaugurating two additional supersites located in Middleton and Heathrow. This strategic move increases the total number of DX’s 2-Man supersites in the UK to eight, reflecting the company’s efforts to enhance logistics operations for larger and heavier consumer goods.
A central main hub established at Willenhall supports these expanding operations, alongside a network comprising 19 depots, incorporating the newly launched supersites. These developments signify DX’s commitment to extending its substantial home delivery network and improving service efficiency across the country.
DX Group’s chief executive, Paul Ibbetson, articulated his satisfaction with the new site openings, emphasising their role in bolstering operational capacity and efficiency. He highlighted the dual benefits of increased capability and improved customer proximity the new sites offer, contributing to reduced delivery miles and lower carbon emissions.
In addition to the expansion of the 2-Man division, DX Group plans continuous capital investment in its DX Freight operations throughout the year. This ongoing investment underscores the company’s focus on growth in specialised freight logistics. By strategically placing these supersites in key locations, DX enhances its ability to deliver improved service to its customers.
The company continues to expand its reach beyond the traditional scope, with the recent opening of depots in Maidstone and Aberdeen, enhancing parcel capacity in these regions. Furthermore, the opening of a new depot in Sligo marks DX’s extension into the Republic of Ireland, further expanding its logistical footprint.
DX Group’s strategic site expansions highlight its commitment to enhancing logistics and reducing environmental impact in freight operations.
