DTCP, a leading specialist investment management firm focused on digital transformation, today announces its investment in GreenScale, a large-scale sustainable data centre platform engineered to meet the needs of hyperscale, AI, and Cloud customers with a focus on sustainability and rapid deployment. GreenScale launches with 170MW of secured capacity, spanning two strategic sites in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, previously announced via DTCP’s acquisition of Atlantic Hub, in October 2024, and has plans to develop an additional 300MW in the Nordics. With an ambitious goal to build 1GW+ of data center capacity across Europe, GreenScale is positioned to support the growing demand for Cloud and AI- driven infrastructure. DTCP intends to initially invest one billion pounds, supporting the growth of GreenScale.

GreenScale’s leadership team comprises industry veterans with deep expertise in designing, building, and operating large-scale data centers worldwide. Alongside CEO Daniel Thomas, formerly SVP at AtlasEdge, former executives from leading data center providers, bring decades of experience and a proven track record in the industry. Ian Hammond, COO, brings expertise from AtlasEdge and TomTom; and Torsten Stuhl, Chief Development Officer, brings experience from Vantage Data Centers, Digital Realty, and InterXion. Jean-Francois Berche, Senior Advisorat DTCP, and previous executive experience at Microsoft and AWS, will serve as GreenScale’s CTO while Zahl Limbuwala, Operating Partner at DTCP, will serve as GreenScale’s Chairman, adding his experience in managing and scaling digital infrastructure investments globally.
