Dnata Travel Group UK heralded a “record-breaking” launch to its peak travel period, emphasising a surge in demand across its suite of brands including Gold Medal and Incredible Journeys. Such growth is unprecedented and indicative of a strong recovery trend in the travel sector.
The demand for travel to Sri Lanka surged by 250% compared to the previous year, underscoring a rising interest in the region. Likewise, as reported by Gold Medal, Dubai also saw a 25% increase in bookings, reflecting an elevated interest in the Middle Eastern hub.
The company’s focus on strategic campaigns, such as incentivising travel agents, and offering customers discounts, has been pivotal in driving these numbers. Moreover, there has been a notable increase in web sales, which soared by 40% from January 2023.
Disney’s offering, which includes up to four free nights and a $200 gift card, significantly contributed to a 35% rise in the number of nights booked year on year, following the introduction of the Disney gift card incentive.
