EY has made a strategic appointment by naming Dilek Çilingir as the new global forensic and integrity services leader. This significant transition follows the retirement of Andrew Gordon in June, thus marking a new era for the company’s forensic division, which Çilingir will now spearhead. Her mandate includes guiding the continued expansion of EY’s forensic services, a critical component of the firm’s operations.
Çilingir joins the helm with an impressive 30-year career that includes pivotal roles ranging from forensics to assurance and consulting. Notably, she held leadership of EY assurance services in Turkey for nine years, during which she successfully set up a forensic practice not only in Turkey but also in nine other countries. Her broad international exposure and leadership skills are anticipated to drive substantial progress for EY Forensics.
Before her current role at EY, Çilingir worked for another global professional services firm in the US, managing a broad portfolio of Fortune 500 clients and leading a diverse international team. Marie-Laure Delarue, EY global vice chair for assurance, spoke highly of Çilingir’s credentials, underscoring her ability to lead global teams and her strong track record in forensics. Delarue remarked, “Dilek has a fantastic track record built up during a career over three decades and across several countries and business areas.”
In Çilingir’s own words, “EY Forensics is where I began my time as an EY leader, and it feels like home. It’s a business that’s gone from strength to strength, and with integrity and ethics under the intense global spotlight, the opportunity for further growth is clear.” Her return as the leader of EY Forensics is seen as a homecoming that promises to leverage her extensive experience to benefit clients globally.
Dilek Çilingir’s appointment is poised to steer EY’s forensic unit towards further growth and enhanced integrity services worldwide.
