Cunard has announced the inaugural event voyage of its new ship, Queen Anne, scheduled to commence with a British Isles Festival sailing. This marks not only the launch of Queen Anne but also offers an opportunity to celebrate the essence of Great Britain and Ireland.
Embarking on 24 May 2024, the Queen Anne will set sail from Southampton on a 14-night roundtrip journey. This maiden voyage will provide passengers the chance to explore some of the most captivating destinations such as Liverpool, Belfast, and the Scottish Highlands, each offering its own unique charm and historical significance.
Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating that the voyage presents a historic opportunity for many loyal Cunard enthusiasts. She emphasised that it will be ‘a real celebration of our newest ship and showcase of the very best of Great Britain and Ireland.’
Amid the growing anticipation for Queen Anne’s upcoming journeys, Cunard reports a record-breaking number of bookings during the Black Friday period. This surge in reservations reflects the favourable reception of Cunard’s itineraries, particularly those traversing European waters, bolstering momentum as we head into 2024 and 2025.
Supporting these endeavours, Cunard has also conducted substantial outreach within the travel industry. A dedicated team of 15 representatives engaged with over 200 travel agents across 100 stores. This initiative aimed to update agents on the launch of Cunard’s 2025 programme, demonstrating the cruise line’s commitment to nurturing strong professional relationships and enhancing client experience.
