As Cunard nears the launch of its latest vessel, the Queen Anne, a significant initiative is planned to strengthen ties with its travel agent partners. Early next year, up to 500 of these partners will be hosted on the majestic ship during its initial month of operations. In a strategic alignment with the 2024 CLIA UK and Ireland Conference scheduled between 23-25 May, about 200 agents will be provided with firsthand exposure to the Queen Anne’s opulence and innovation.
To further expand this immersive experience, Cunard is organising two overnight stays for agents from Southampton, aimed at driving its sales efforts. These stays are anticipated to offer agents a comprehensive understanding of the ship’s offerings, thereby enabling them to better serve potential customers. Detailed information regarding involvement in these exclusive events will be disseminated through the Shine Rewards Club platform in the forthcoming months.
Amidst the anticipation of Queen Anne’s unveiling, a select group of UK agents have already been given an exclusive preview of the ship, which is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Venice. This behind-the-scenes tour was led by Captain Inger Thorhauge, who has the distinction of being the line’s first female captain and will guide the Queen Anne on her maiden voyage from Southampton to Lisbon on 3 May 2024. This opportunity provided the agents with an invaluable glimpse of the vessel’s grandeur as it transitions from the construction dock to the fitting-out basin.
Standing at 113,000 tons, the Queen Anne can accommodate 3,000 guests and promises an unparalleled level of luxury with its varied selection of wellness and beauty facilities. Central to this offering is the reimagined Mareel Wellness and Beauty proposition, complemented by The Pavilion, an innovative open-air space featuring a retractable glass dome that adjusts according to the climate. Cunard’s president, Katie McAlister, lauded the advancements in the ship’s development, emphasising how Queen Anne encapsulates the brand’s enduring commitment to luxury ocean travel.
In continuation of its rich tradition, Cunard endeavours to elevate the cruise experience with tailored programmes, such as a unique meet-and-greet exclusively designed for solo travellers during embarkation. These initiatives underscore the line’s dedication to catering to the diverse preferences of its discerning clientele.
Cunard’s strategic initiatives for Queen Anne exemplify its dedication to luxury and innovation in ocean travel.
