- The fleet expansion comes two years after Crystal’s acquisition by A&K Travel Group.
- The cruise line continues to enhance its offerings both at sea and on shore.
Crystal has officially announced the commissioning of a third ocean ship, further extending its fleet capabilities. This decision follows an option made available as part of a two-unit agreement that was unveiled earlier this summer. The new addition will accommodate 690 passengers, complementing the existing Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity vessels, and will feature distinctive elements such as an all-encompassing promenade deck.
Construction of this third vessel will be undertaken by renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, reinforcing a longstanding collaborative relationship that traces its roots back to partnerships formed during the era of Sitmar Cruises and developed through Silversea Cruises. Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, the executive chairman of A&K Travel Group, highlighted the partnership with Fincantieri, noting its evolution and significance in realising Crystal’s modern vision.
The new ship will offer an array of dining choices, including Umi Uma, known as the only Nobu restaurant at sea, alongside Beefbar by Riccardo Giraudi. Outside the realm of dining, the ship will debut Casino de Monte-Carlo, set to first appear on Crystal Symphony this month and Crystal Serenity in December. Such exclusive amenities are designed to enhance the passenger experience significantly.
A&K Travel Group, which acquired Crystal two years ago, continues its strategic initiative to expand and elevate its fleet. Crystal aims to provide exceptional service and luxury, ensuring that each voyage is memorable and unique. With a focus on both sea and shore offerings, the line is pioneering new pathways for exploration and comfort in cruising.
Scheduled for delivery in Spring 2028, the third ship exemplifies Crystal’s commitment to growth and luxury travel. While the delivery timeline for the second vessel remains forthcoming, the cruise line strives to meet expectations of premium craftsmanship and passenger satisfaction.
The forthcoming ship represents Crystal’s dedication to expanding its fleet and enhancing travel experiences.
