CroisiEurope, Europe’s leading river cruise operator, has embarked on a strategic initiative to expand its footprint in the UK. The company has introduced a new dedicated call centre, enabling the sale of flight-inclusive packages within the UK—a first for CroisiEurope. This move, as noted by company representatives, allows the organisation to target new audiences, providing significant growth opportunities in the region.
John Fair, the UK Sales Director for CroisiEurope, highlighted the perfect timing for these investments, given the strong sales and heightened interest in their diverse offerings, which include river, ocean, coastal, and hotel barge cruises. Fair expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Blue Water Holidays, who will manage the new call centre, emphasising the longstanding and successful relationship between the two entities.
Further strengthening its UK team, CroisiEurope appointed Janine Sykes as the Business Development Manager for Northern England and Scotland in March. Sykes brings 25 years of experience in business development within the travel industry, marking a pivotal step for CroisiEurope in extending its reach and commitment to the UK market. She expressed her excitement about joining CroisiEurope during this dynamic period marked by the launch of the new call centre and the introduction of ATOL-protected fly/cruise packages.
Alongside these internal enhancements, CroisiEurope has unveiled a variety of new cruise itineraries for the year. These include ocean cruises spanning the Moroccan coast to the Mediterranean and coastal voyages from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean. Other offerings feature unique experiences such as hotel barge cruises from Petite Seine to Yonne, hiking cruises in the Canary Islands and Corsica, and a festive three-night Christmas Markets cruise from Strasbourg to Basel, celebrating the traditions of Alsace and Switzerland.
CroisiEurope’s investment in the UK is timely, coinciding with a positive market shift where river cruises are experiencing a resurgence in growth. This strategic positioning not only aims to capture a broader audience but also seeks to fortify existing trade relationships and instil confidence among booking agents. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to maintain the upward trend CroisiEurope witnessed in sales, reaching 2019 levels, with a promising outlook for 2023 and plans to introduce 2024 itineraries soon.
In summary, CroisiEurope’s strategic investments and team expansions underscore its commitment to the UK market amid a favourable growth landscape.
