Cox & Kings, renowned for its bespoke travel experiences, has expanded its horizons by adding three new tours and four tailor-made itineraries to its global offerings. This development underscores the company’s commitment to providing immersive travel experiences until the end of 2026. With Italy’s enduring appeal, the operator unveils two new specialist-led tours – one set in Piedmont with acclaimed food writer and chef Valentina Harris, and the other in Sicily, delving into the island’s rich history and exquisite cuisine.
The new Portuguese Pousadas tour stands as a testament to the operator’s dedication to cultural immersion, featuring accommodation in heritage buildings, exploration of Unesco World Heritage sites, and a delightful boat ride along the Douro River. This tour artfully combines elements of history, culture, and leisure, providing an enriched experience for travellers.
Broadening its scope, Cox & Kings’ tailor-made itineraries pave the way for unique experiences in newly included destinations such as Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Scandinavia, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands. These customised trips cater to diverse interests, from the serene Tozeur Oasis in the Tunisian Sahara to the breathtaking Flåmsbana Railway in Norway, offering travellers unparalleled adventure and exploration.
Jennifer Charlton, Senior Vice-President of Trade Sales and Business Development at Cox & Kings, encapsulated the essence of these offerings, stating, “The latest additions to our brochure represent the quintessential Cox & Kings experience – small-group tours designed to immerse travellers in local cultures through genuine interactions and off-the-beaten-track exploration.”
Among the offerings in Latin America and India, tours such as the ‘Train to Machu Picchu’, ‘Natural Splendours of Costa Rica’, and the ‘Golden Triangle and Shimla’ remain top choices. Off-the-beaten-path tours including ‘Across the Southern Caucasus’ and ‘Uzbekistan: Heart of Central Asia’ continue to garner significant interest, indicative of the desires for unique travel experiences among tourists.
The growth in solo travel is noteworthy, with solo travellers now accounting for more than 25% of Cox & Kings’ clients on group tours. To cater to this demographic, the company has introduced four solo traveller tours that come with no single supplements, thus acknowledging and accommodating the needs of independent explorers. These tours include ‘Treasures of Peru’, ‘Panama & Costa Rica Experience’, ‘Exotic India’, and ‘Splendours of Sri Lanka’.
Cox & Kings’ new tours and itineraries vividly demonstrate its dedication to pioneering unique, culturally immersive travel experiences across the globe.
