Contollo, a relatively new player in the consultancy landscape, has successfully acquired Tace, a specialist in mechanical and electrical services. This move marks a significant step in Contollo’s strategy to shape a mid-size, multidisciplinary consultancy group within the built environment sector, leveraging private equity support from NorthEdge. By integrating Tace into its operations, Contollo aims to enhance its service offerings across various critical sectors including education and sports facilities.
Ruth Percival, Contollo Group’s chief executive, outlined the rationale behind the acquisition, emphasising Tace’s sterling reputation for engineering excellence and its expertise in executing large-scale, government-backed projects. She proudly noted the entry of Tace as the inaugural M&E consulting business in the Contollo Group, affirming the group’s commitment to assembling a top-tier national consultancy. Furthermore, the leadership collaboration with Tace’s directors, such as Nigel Griffiths, is expected to fortify the group’s capacity to serve clients nationwide effectively.
