Yorkshire-based Come Play With Me (CPWM) has unveiled significant changes in its leadership framework, signalling its evolution from a regional entity to a national player in the music industry. The organisation has appointed Antonia Lines as Chief Operating Officer, leveraging her extensive experience in managing music festivals, press activities, and DIY labels. Lines has been an integral part of CPWM, previously serving as the diversity project manager and head of programmes and operations, positions that have equipped her with the insight necessary to lead CPWM’s diverse initiatives.
Joining the new leadership team is Jilly Chatten, who takes on the role of Senior Programmes & Events Manager. Chatten’s background includes managing operations at Brudenell Social Club and Project House, and years as an international tour manager. Her expertise is expected to enhance CPWM’s ability to produce engaging and inclusive events and explore collaborative opportunities between CPWM and Clue Records, fostering a vibrant music scene.
Alice Scott, another key appointment, steps into the role of Senior Partnerships and Development Manager. Scott is a prominent figure within Leeds’ DIY music community and has notable experience as a member of Post War Glamour Girls and Tallsaint. Her tenure as events and venue coordinator at CLAY, a live arts space, positions her well to fortify CPWM’s developmental strategies and partnerships.
The reshuffle also includes the appointment of Hazel Savage, founder of Musiio and VP at SoundCloud, alongside Dom Smith, editor of Soundsphere Magazine, to the board. These additions are part of CPWM’s broader strategy to infuse fresh perspectives and industry expertise into its governance, thereby enhancing its capability to advocate for an equitable, inclusive, and diverse music industry.
CPWM’s mission is underscored by its commitment to bolster the careers of individuals from marginalised communities. By collaborating with key partners across the music sector, CPWM is enhancing its support for these groups, ensuring sustainable and impactful participation within the evolving industry landscape. Upcoming events such as the I Know A Place Conference further embody CPWM’s dedication to inclusivity, with a series of free-entry panels, workshops, and keynotes aimed at fostering a community of learning and connection.
CPWM’s new leadership structure marks a significant step towards furthering its commitment to diversity within the music industry.
