The renowned Colletts Travel has poised itself for a new era by reopening its high street store in North London, a move set to bolster its physical presence post-pandemic. The store, which closed due to the Covid pandemic, has undergone a significant transformation, now featuring dedicated travel planning lounges. This refurbishment aims to provide clients with a premium and personalised experience, setting a new standard in travel consultancy.
Functioning under the umbrella of Global Travel Collection UK, a part of Internova Travel Group, Colletts Travel has strategically converted this location into a central hub. It will serve the company’s currently home-based advisors, supported by an in-house ‘advisor success team’. This infrastructure fosters increased interaction between the advisors and the Colletts Collection luxury tour operation, enhancing client service and operational efficiency.
At a private event in December, the revamped store was unveiled to travel advisors, alongside Colletts’ co-founder and brand ambassador Roy Collett, and the company’s leadership team. This event signifies increased interest from advisors eager to re-establish in-person client meetings, which the store’s reopening now facilitates.
Francesca Mendola, vice-president of GTC UK, highlighted the growing demand from advisors wishing to operate from the Hendon location, reminiscent of pre-pandemic business models. She emphasized, “This growing demand to reopen the store has been encouraging and reinforces the importance of both face-to-face booking interaction with luxury clients and our suppliers to increase educational partner learning.”
In aligning with its philosophy, ‘Go Human. Book Human’, Colletts Travel is committed to investing in spaces that advocate for face-to-face consultations. The emphasis is on creating a more engaging and personal experience, which is a cornerstone of their business approach.
Concurrently, Colletts has embarked on a recruitment initiative aimed at expanding their team with both in-house and independent travel advisors. This move not only supports the store’s reopening but also aligns with the company’s broader strategy to capitalise on increased consumer interest in personalized travel experiences.
Colletts Travel’s strategic reopening and recruitment effort mark a pivotal phase in its ongoing commitment to personalized and premium client engagement.
