In an effort to enhance the resources and opportunities available to agents, Clia has opened its 2025 membership for UK and Ireland agents. This membership offers new and exclusive benefits and events designed to reinforce agents’ capabilities and industry knowledge.
Among the notable events is the RiverView Conference scheduled for March, followed by the Clia Conference in May. These gatherings, alongside add-on events like the Expedition Summit, provide platforms for members to gain insight into the evolving cruise landscape.
In response to growing interest and demand, a new full-day summer event, titled The Art of Selling Cruises, has been introduced. This event aims to support agents in expanding their cruise sales skills, ensuring they can effectively meet market demands.
In addition, the Expedition Champion and River Champion hybrid learning programmes will continue in the latter half of 2025. These programmes are structured to provide in-depth learning experiences tailored to the specific needs of the cruising sectors.
Members will also have access to a variety of resources through the Clia portal, including factsheets on destinations and itineraries, brand profiles, and comprehensive online training. This access is complemented by virtual ship tours and webinars that focus on diverse cruise line brands. With monthly Focus On sessions, agents can stay informed about various industry sectors.
Andy Harmer, managing director of Clia UK and Ireland, stated, “As the cruise industry continues to attract record numbers of passengers and expands its range of destinations even further on an ever wider range of ships, we’re ensuring we provide agents with more insight, resources and in-person opportunities than ever before.” This reflects a commitment to bolstering agents’ ability to deliver high-quality experiences to travellers.
The 2025 Clia membership offers significant opportunities for agents to expand their expertise and thrive in a growing industry.
