The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) UK and Ireland has achieved an extraordinary milestone, witnessing a 4% growth in its membership numbers in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the previous year. This achievement underscores the growing appeal and engagement within the cruise sector.
Furthermore, there has been an impressive 22% increase in the number of accredited agents who have successfully completed at least the first level of CLIA training courses. This surge reflects a heightened commitment among agents to enhance their industry knowledge and expertise.
Demonstrating the burgeoning interest in cruise-related events, CLIA has completely sold out its trio of key events scheduled for April and May in the UK and Ireland. These events include a noteworthy expedition cruise event in Dublin, an expedition summit in Greenwich aboard the Seabourn Venture, and a river cruise dinner in Glasgow, signalling a vibrant interest in diverse cruise experiences.
The introduction of two new monthly webinar series, aptly named ‘Focus On’ and ‘In Conversation’, has captured significant attention, with record audiences participating.
