An exciting collaboration between CLIA and Ambassador Cruise Line is set to take centre stage with the announcement of a unique, one-night sailing event specifically tailored for travel agents. This special event, departing from Newcastle and arriving in Tilbury on 22 November, intends to foster growth and expertise within the cruise industry. Participants are offered a rare opportunity to experience a cruise firsthand while receiving professional insights from renowned sales expert Debbee Dale, alongside CLIA’s own trade membership and events manager, Adele Fitzpatrick-Foster.
Onboard the cruise, agents will be treated to an enriching session focused on understanding current trends and enhancing sales strategies. These insights aim to empower agents to maximise demand throughout various stages of the wave season. The importance of keeping abreast with these insights cannot be understated, as they are pivotal in aiding agents to strengthen their market position and client engagement.
Further elevating the value of the experience, delegates will indulge in upscale amenities, including an overnight stay in an oceanview cabin, complemented by meals featuring a lunch upon arrival, a five-course evening meal, and breakfast before departure. Such provisions ensure that attendees are not only well-informed but also immersed in the premium offerings of the cruise line, encapsulating the quality that potential customers can expect.
Demonstrating a commitment to agent welfare and convenience, a post-cruise coach service from Tilbury back to Newcastle will be provided, facilitating a seamless journey. The event signifies the inauguration of a series of joint initiatives by Ambassador and CLIA, which are anticipated to be unveiled soon. It is seen as a strategic move by Ambassador, who recently joined CLIA, enhancing the cruise line’s prominence and capacity to build a recognised presence across the UK cruise market.
Andy Harmer, managing director of CLIA UK & Ireland, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasising the myriad of learning opportunities this event affords to the agents, alongside the chance to experience Ambassador’s fleet. Such endorsements underline the significance of this collaboration in reshaping agent engagement and training within the cruising arena. Echoing this sentiment, Nicola Harper from Ambassador Cruise Line highlighted the value of firsthand product experience, which is fundamental in enhancing agent expertise and satisfaction.
This pioneering event heralds a promising era of collaboration and professional growth within the cruise industry.
