Celestyal Cruises has announced a substantial expansion of its cruise offerings in the Arabian Gulf and Mediterranean regions, a strategic move aimed at bolstering its standing in the winter sun market. This development introduces new itineraries that align with its commitment to broadening programme choices based on overwhelming customer demand. The introduction of the Celestyal Discovery to the winter sun Arabian Gulf season in 2025 underscores this commitment.
The Celestyal Discovery, capable of accommodating 1,260 passengers, will commence its operations with three- and four-night versions of the Iconic Arabia itinerary, starting in November 2024. These will sail from Abu Dhabi, offering ports of call in Doha, Sir Bani Yas Island, Fujairah, Muscat, and Khasab. Such dynamic routes offer passengers opportunities to engage with cultural and natural attractions in the region, such as the vibrant Souq Waqif in Doha and the Arabian Wildlife Park in Sir Bani Yas Island.
Additionally, Celestyal Discovery continues to provide varied options under its Iconic Aegean itineraries, departing from Athens with ports of call including Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Crete, and Santorini. The inclusion of Rhodes for the extended itinerary further enriches the cultural and historical experiences available to passengers.
Meanwhile, the Celestyal Journey, introduced in September last year, is set to further diversify its operations. It will offer itineraries across the Adriatic, Aegean, and Arabian Gulf from 2024 onwards. One of its notable offerings is the Heavenly Adriatic itinerary, featuring late stays in hubs like Dubrovnik and Venice, and full-day visits to destinations such as Kefalonia and Kotor.
The variety of options extends with the Idyllic Aegean cruise, positioning Athens as a homeport and covering attractions in Kusadasi, Rhodes, and beyond. For those looking for more extended journeys, combining itineraries into 14-night experiences offers an enriched exploration of these iconic waters.
Capping its offerings is the seven-night Desert Days itinerary on Celestyal Journey, running from November 2024 to March 2025, adding seasonal appeal with special sailings that coincide with events such as Christmas and the Qatar Grand Prix.
This 30% increase in capacity, across both contemporary and classic itineraries, reflects Celestyal’s strategy to meet high demand and establish its reputation as a leading cruise specialist in the Arabian Gulf.
Celestyal’s expanded cruise capacity signifies a bold step in meeting passenger demand and enhancing its Mediterranean and Arabian offerings.
