Capsticks has officially become part of the NEPO legal services framework, a move that underscores its commitment to delivering comprehensive legal support within the public sector. The appointment became effective from June 5, 2024, and extends over a four-year period, encompassing all mandatory legal service requirements such as data protection, public law, contracts, and procurement.
The NEPO framework is pivotal as it facilitates significant procurement activities in strategic sectors like construction, energy, and facilities management, coordinated with northeast local authorities and other UK public sector entities. More than 1,000 member organisations are involved, including local authorities, educational institutions, NHS bodies, and emergency services, reflecting the framework’s broad reach and impact.
Capsticks intends to broaden its engagement by applying for supplementary framework requirements, which include information, communication & technology, intellectual property, and family law, among other areas. This potential expansion aims to accommodate an even wider range of legal needs within the public sector, demonstrating the firm’s adaptive capabilities.
