Bookings for Holland America Line’s much-anticipated 2025-2026 season, including extensive itineraries in South America and Antarctica, are now open. This offering features longer cruises, with journeys lasting up to 22 days, providing travellers with an opportunity to explore some of the most iconic sights in these regions.
The cruise ship Oosterdam will be navigating the seas between San Antonio (Santiago) in Chile and either Buenos Aires, Argentina, or Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This itinerary is structured to encompass diverse experiences, from tropical climates to icy glaciers, and bustling urban environments to the serene wilderness of remote locations.
The travel routes highlight remarkable sites in South America such as Iguazu Falls and Machu Picchu, along with the breathtaking landscapes and unique wildlife of Antarctica. As Holland America Line’s Vice President of Revenue Management, Dan Rough, remarked, South America offers contrasting experiences within a single cruise. Rough emphasised that their mid-sized ships allow for itineraries that connect travellers profoundly with the destinations they visit.
Among the offerings, a key itinerary is the 14-day South America Passage cruise. This journey stretches between San Antonio (Santiago) and Buenos Aires, making stops at significant locations including Puerto Montt, Puerto Chacabuco, and Punta Arenas in Chile, Ushuaia in Argentina, Stanley in the Falkland Islands, and Montevideo in Uruguay. Additionally, the 17-day Panama Canal and Inca Discovery cruise travels between Fort Lauderdale and San Antonio (Santiago), featuring an extended stay in Callao (Lima), Peru, to allow guests to embark on an overland tour to the historic site of Machu Picchu.
This new season follows Holland America Line’s recent announcement of an exclusive dining experience set to debut on the Nieuw Amsterdam, demonstrating the line’s commitment to enhancing the guest experience at sea.
Holland America Line’s new season promises a rich blend of culture, adventure, and luxury at sea.
