Bestway Retail has strategically reinforced its senior leadership team, aiming to facilitate significant growth through the appointment of seasoned professionals. The recruitment of three former leaders from eminent retailers Morrisons and Spar underlines the company’s commitment to strengthening its market position and enhancing operational efficiency.
Nick Russell, returning to the Bestway fold, assumes the role of head of symbol, where he will spearhead the direction of the Best-one and Costcutter brands. Russell carries considerable experience, having previously contributed to Costcutter until 2021. His recent tenure at Morrisons Daily, where he served as head of independent franchise and new business, equips him with a robust understanding of the retail landscape.
Steve Moore is set to assume the position of regional controller for the Midlands and South Wales come January 2025. Moore’s prior experience at Parfett’s, where he led sales and support teams, combined with his history at Costcutter, provides him with the insight and expertise necessary to steer the regions towards heightened performance.
Rodney Tucker reenters the Bestway organisation with a mandate to invigorate new business initiatives in the Southwest and South Wales territories. With his prior regional management experience at both Costcutter and Best-One, and his recent role at Spar Appleby Westward as sales director, Tucker is well-poised to drive recruitment and expansion strategies in these key areas.
Jamie Davison, Bestway’s retail director, expressed enthusiasm about the appointments, stating, “We are delighted to welcome back the very talented Nick, Rodney and Steve to their new roles within the business. They bring with them valuable expertise, knowledge and sector understanding that will support our growth plans and the service we offer our valued retailers.” The integration of these experienced professionals is anticipated to bolster Bestway’s service delivery and expand its reach within the competitive retail sector.
These strategic leadership appointments are expected to propel Bestway Retail’s growth and strengthen its service offering.
