The leadership of the erstwhile Beattie Passive Group has reentered the market post-administration.
- A new venture, Beattie Consult & Build, has been established by the previous directors.
- 15 patents were reacquired for £35,000, retaining core intellectual property.
- Manufacturing ambitions are shelved in favour of a focus on training and consulting.
- Commitment to sustainability and high-performance building continues under the Beattie name.
In a notable return to the market, the team previously at the helm of the defunct Beattie Passive Group has resumed operations under a new banner. Having struck a deal with the administrators, they have acquired key assets, including patents, to establish Beattie Consult & Build Limited. Led by Ron Beattie, the team has taken steps to retain the core competencies that originally defined their endeavours.
Beattie Consult & Build represents a strategic pivot from its predecessor’s model. The company has forgone its direct manufacturing activities, instead opting to empower other builders through specialised training. This shift is underscored by the decision to offer training at no cost, covering diverse construction methodologies such as stick, panel, and modular build systems.
The transaction with Kroll Advisory resulted in the reacquisition of 15 out of the 96 patents initially filed by Beattie, facilitating a streamlined approach to their offerings. This strategic asset management aims to bolster their new business model, focusing on education and consultancy rather than production.
Director Nathan Beattie highlighted the new direction, emphasising the advantages of the ‘flying factory’ concept adapted from their past experience, yet distinctively focusing on imparting knowledge and technical expertise. The commitment to maintaining high standards in technical design and testing remains paramount, ensuring top-tier project delivery.
Sustainability and high-performance construction continue to be at the forefront of Beattie’s mission. Managing Director Ron Beattie expresses a renewed enthusiasm for promoting environmental goals through their services, particularly in Passivhaus and net-zero building consultancy. The new chapter for Beattie is marked by a dedication to advancing sustainable building practices, underlined by three decades of industry experience.
The reformation of Beattie Consult & Build signifies a resilient adaptation to market conditions, reinforcing their commitment to excellence in construction consultancy.
