Darlington-based Banner Contracts has taken a notable step forward in the construction industry by acquiring the UK’s first SBM Remax 600 mobile impact crusher, a machine renowned for its hybrid and electrified capabilities. This equipment represents a significant advancement in material processing technology, employing artificial intelligence to ensure precise, high-quality aggregate production. The introduction of such technology reflects the company’s commitment to staying at the forefront of industry innovation.
The SBM Remax 600 will be displayed at the upcoming Hillhead trade show in Buxton, Derbyshire, showcasing its potential to industry stakeholders. This premier event for the Remax 600 in the UK occurs two years post its international debut at the Bauma trade fair, indicating a measured and strategic entry into the UK market.
Equipped with a 1,400mm rotor and a screenbox that can be configured in various deck setups, the Remax 600 is capable of producing up to five different finished products with a staggering production rate of 600 tonnes per hour. This high throughput, coupled with the capability to handle material feed up to 900mm and a maximum weight of 75 tonnes, underscores the machine’s robust design and efficiency.
The crusher’s groundbreaking use of autonomous technology enables it to continuously monitor and automatically adjust operational parameters, such as wear on impact tools and blow bars, without halting operations. This feature not only enhances efficiency but also ensures consistent output quality, representing a true innovation in autonomous material processing.
Andrew Banner, director of Banner Contracts, emphasised their positive experience with the Remax range, noting the machines’ superior output and low operational costs. “Having tried the range of SBM Remax crushers in our contracting fleet, we have found their output and low running costs to be years ahead of the competitors,” he stated. Banner Contracts, active in the industry for four decades, maintains a keen eye for advanced machinery that meets their high standards.
The director further highlighted the Remax 600’s low fuel consumption, which significantly reduces the carbon footprint of their operations, aligning with environmental sustainability trends in construction. Banner Contracts’ decision to incorporate the Remax 600 into their fleet further exemplifies their strategic investment in cutting-edge technology, aiming to enhance both productivity and sustainability.
Banner Contracts’ acquisition of the SBM Remax 600 signifies a pivotal enhancement in their technological capabilities, promising substantial advancements in production efficiency and sustainability.
