Avant Homes has commenced its substantive development project in Doncaster, initiating construction on the first phase of the £137m venture intended to yield 600 homes. This substantial project, located just off the A630 in Edenthorpe, is expected to contribute significantly to the housing landscape of the area.
The development, aptly named Eden Fields, spans an expansive 81-acre site. It promises a diverse mix of housing styles, ranging from single-bedroom units to five-bedroom family homes. This variety is designed to accommodate a wide array of prospective buyers, including first-time homeowners, families, and individuals looking to downsize.
The project’s first phase comprises 248 homes, which are set to start becoming available from the spring of 2025. This timeline reflects Avant Homes’ commitment to a swift and efficient construction process, ensuring that the demand for quality housing in Doncaster is met without undue delay.
Richard Hosie, managing director of Avant Homes West Yorkshire, emphasised the inclusive nature of the development. He stated, “We are now well under way building a range of multi-tenure homes that are ideal for all types of buyers, whether first time, second steppers, families or downsizers, and are busily creating a new community within Edenthorpe.”
