Asia DMC is enhancing its offerings with a focus on sustainability and authenticity in response to rising interest from global travellers. The company has unveiled a series of new tours for 2024 that are available for booking through UK travel agents, each promising unique experiences across Asia.
The introduction of these offerings can be attributed to DTH Travel’s recent rebranding from Diethelm Travel, marking a significant shift towards positioning itself as a leader in authentic tourism. This strategic move has yielded substantial results, as evidenced by a notable sales increase of almost 40% in January alone.
Among the standout offerings is the new 11-day ‘Laos Explorer’ tour, which combines various forms of public and private transport to provide a comprehensive journey through the country. Similarly, the nine-day ‘Cycling Holiday’ in North Vietnam offers an immersive slow travel experience that fosters interactions with local villages and communities.
DTH Travel’s commitment to social responsibility is further reflected in tours that prioritise corporate social responsibility, engaging local guides and integrating cultural exchanges. In Sri Lanka, travellers can visit the traditional rural village of Kayanwala Pahala Wewa, while in Malaysia, eco-edutourism itineraries provide homestays in remote areas, offering meaningful cultural exchanges.
In Cambodia, the ‘2 Faces of Life Walking Tour’ supports the education of underprivileged children, providing opportunities for visitors to engage in English language lessons and explore shanty towns in Phnom Penh. Another unique offering is the ‘Lotus Farm Tour’ in Siem Reap, which highlights the eco-friendly textile manufacturing practices providing employment for vulnerable women.
Not only are new tours introduced, but existing ones like the ‘Thai-lights’ tour have been revamped to align with DTH Travel’s new values, now including visits to three UNESCO World Heritage sites and interactive workshops that deliver rich cultural insights. The chief executive of DTH Travel, Stephan Roemer, highlighted the strategic focus on delivering uniquely sustainable experiences that showcase the distinctive aspects of top destinations.
In response to the growing interest in sustainable tourism, Asia DMC has significantly expanded its tour offerings to provide environmentally and culturally enriching experiences.
