ArrowXL has embarked on an ambitious project named ‘OneFleet’, designed to streamline operations and significantly reduce carbon emissions. This initiative marks a pivotal step in the company’s environmental commitment, focusing on efficiency through reduced delivery routes.
The introduction of ‘OneFleet’ is set to cut the total number of delivery routes by at least 4,000 each year, equating to an 8.7% reduction in current operations. This strategy not only promises enhanced operational efficiency but also aligns with broader environmental targets to minimise the company’s carbon footprint.
In practical terms, the initiative will consolidate ArrowXL’s 24-hour and platinum service fleets into a single model, allowing for overnight vehicle loading. This approach optimises route planning, which is projected to save in excess of 800,000 miles annually, thus decreasing the number of vehicles required on the road each day.
