Arkel has announced a strategic move to integrate its landlords’ let property insurance product, Premier Let, with the OpenGI trading platform. This integration significantly broadens Arkel’s distribution reach, enabling brokers across the OpenGI network easy access to this specialised insurance product.
The integration is an important milestone for Arkel as it opens up their Premier Let product to a wider broker audience. Arkel’s focus on simplifying complex insurance processes is evident in this initiative, backed by e-Zee Insurance Solutions. Their product provides extensive coverage including building insurance, loss of income, contents, and property owners’ liability coverage up to £2 million.
A remarkable feature of the Premier Let product is its capacity to handle non-standard and hard-to-place risks. These include atypical construction, occupancy challenges, flood, and subsidence risks. The solution is particularly responsive to market demands, offering brokers a dependable option underpinned by A-rated capacity.
Kris Lee, Arkel’s Chief Underwriting Officer, expressed enthusiasm over this development, stating that going live on the OpenGI platform helps Arkel in demystifying the complexities of specialist insurance. Lee highlighted their mission to simplify the quoting and binding process for brokers, thereby maintaining their market-leading position.
Furthermore, Simon Macray, Director of Insurer Relations at OpenGI, praised the addition of Premier Let by Arkel, noting that it offers greater flexibility and choice for brokers. According to Macray, this collaboration aims to empower brokers to better serve their clients and expand their business horizons.
The Premier Let product is not limited to the OpenGI platform alone; it is also available on other custom platforms and through Applied Systems. Arkel anticipates further expansion with additional major distribution partners later in the year, signaling growth and increased accessibility for their products.
Arkel’s expansion through the OpenGI platform marks a significant step in simplifying insurance accessibility for brokers.
