APT has appointed Holly Piggott as their new sales executive, a strategic move aimed at enhancing their sales team and reinforcing partnerships with key stakeholders. Piggott’s journey with APT began in 2019, where she demonstrated exceptional capabilities, leading to her promotion from reservations consultant to sales team leader. Her progression within the company is a testament to her dedication and competence in the field.
Before her tenure at APT, Piggott was the branch manager at Thomas Cook’s Chesham store. This experience endowed her with significant insights into the daily operations and requirements of travel agent partners, further enriching her skill set. Her practical knowledge and understanding of the industry are anticipated to bolster APT’s market position.
Brad Bennetts, the head of sales and business development at APT & Travelmarvel, remarked: ‘Holly has been an integral member of the team since joining APT in 2019 and won APT Employee of the Year in 2021.’ He further added that her new responsibilities will encompass supporting business development managers (BDMs), organising key trade events, and facilitating the distribution of sales and marketing materials. Holly is poised to be instrumental in developing new training regimes and gathering valuable market intelligence, aiding APT in better serving their valued agent partners.
This appointment coincides with APT’s launch of a series of ‘value added’ initiatives aimed at boosting river cruise sales for the summer season. As part of these promotional strategies, Travelmarvel’s popular cabin upgrades are making a comeback, complemented by £99 deposits available on all ‘Luxury’ and ‘Essential’ European river cruises throughout 2023. Furthermore, solo supplements will be waived for summer departures on Travelmarvel’s European river cruises, a move likely to attract more solo travellers.
The integration of Holly Piggott into this expanded role is expected to further propel APT’s strategic objectives, particularly in driving trade sales and introducing innovative products to the market. Her expertise is invaluable as APT continues to evolve and adapt within the highly competitive cruise industry.
Holly Piggott’s appointment marks a significant step in APT’s strategic growth and innovation within the cruise sector.
