In 2025, APT plans to deploy two new river ships, the APT Solara and APT Ostara, to its European fleet, aiming to redefine the standards of luxury river cruising. Designed in Australia, these sister ships will sail through the scenic routes of the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers. Each vessel is equipped to host 154 guests and served by a crew of 60, ensuring comprehensive and attentive service.
The ships boast a range of six all-inclusive dining options designed to cater to diverse gastronomic preferences. In addition to the main restaurant and wine cellar, guests can enjoy dining in a conservatory, engage in casual dining on the aft, experience rooftop dining, or opt for the exclusive in-suite dining service. This variety underscores APT’s commitment to providing a unique and personalised culinary journey.
For relaxation and leisure, the sun deck features a heated pool complemented by alfresco dining and a lounge area, offering an ideal environment for guests to unwind as they take in the picturesque surroundings. Accommodation includes three distinct suite options: Twin Window Suites, Balcony Suites, and Owner’s Suites, thereby providing a range of choices to match different preferences and budgets.
CEO David Cox has highlighted this expansion as a significant achievement in APT’s nearly 100-year history. He stated, ‘With two brand-new river ships in Europe for 2025, this is another momentous milestone in APT’s near 100-year history. The APT Solara and Ostara will redefine luxury river cruising, thoughtfully designed with our valued guests in mind.’
The ships will operate on the eight-day Highlights of the Rhine and Main itinerary, starting from Amsterdam and culminating in Munich, from April to November 2025. This itinerary is notable for its inclusion of exclusive events such as a private cocktail reception and recital at Namedy Castle, alongside a private performance hosted at Lichenstein’s City Palace in Vienna. Prices for this experience commence at £2,995 per person.
The launch of APT Solara and Ostara anticipates a transformative phase in luxurious European river cruising.
