Anthony Daniels, a seasoned professional in the cruise industry, has embarked on a new journey by joining luxury expedition line Ponant as the General Manager for the UK and Ireland. With more than three decades of experience, Daniels previously held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hurtigruten. His career boasts significant roles across prominent cruise brands such as Norwegian Cruise Line, Cunard, Seabourn, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Daniels has expressed his commitment to advancing Ponant’s presence within the UK and Ireland, focusing on elevating brand visibility and strengthening ties with travel partners. His appointment signifies a strategic move to bolster Ponant’s market influence. This initiative, running from April to September 2024, offers over 450 agents the opportunity to experience Ponant’s vessels, including Le Lyrial, Le Boréal, Le Champlain, and Le Dumont d’Urville. The programme spans multiple regional ports, facilitating a hands-on introduction to the Ponant fleet for industry professionals.
The ship visit programme is set to be conducted across twelve regional ports in the UK and Ireland, specifically targeting areas like Dartmouth, Cobh, Dublin, and others. This ambitious endeavour reflects Ponant’s commitment to engaging and educating its trade partners, thereby reinforcing its presence and influence in the region.
