Andrew Bolton, who was once recognised as the sales manager of the year while working with Celebrity Cruises, has been appointed as the UK Sales Manager for Ponant. He is scheduled to commence his new position on November 11. Bolton’s new role will cover the northern region of England, along with Scotland and Ireland, marking a significant step in his distinguished career.
With an extensive 35 years in the cruise industry, Bolton has forged a path as a seasoned expert, a journey that saw him achieve the title of sales manager of the year twice during his time with Celebrity Cruises in 2013 and again in 2018. Ponant, a French expedition cruise line, is looking to tap into his vast experience as they expand their presence in the UK and Ireland.
Bolton expressed his enthusiasm about joining Ponant at a time he described as ‘an exciting period of growth’ within the UK and Ireland markets. He highlighted his intent to closely collaborate with trade partners to bolster their expedition cruise offerings, aiming to drive mutual growth and success in this sector.
Anthony Daniels, the UK & Ireland General Manager for Ponant, welcomed Bolton to the team, praising his wealth of knowledge, skills, and motivation. Bolton joins a dedicated sales team and will work alongside Vladislav Saveliev, the Sales Manager for the Midlands and southern England. Daniels noted the strategic importance of Bolton’s addition in what he termed as a ‘new era’ for Ponant UK, anticipating that Bolton’s contributions will significantly support their long-term goals.
