- This year’s programme will include the first-ever fam trip from a regional port, demonstrating Ambassador Cruise Line’s growth and inclusivity.
- The programme aims to provide agents with first-hand experience of the cruise line’s premium offerings, strengthening partnerships.
Ambassador Cruise Line is set to host a total of 60 agents across three familiarisation trips in 2024. This expansion of their educational programme comes after the successful launch of their inaugural trip last November, which saw 30 agents engage with a six-night itinerary. The company’s initiative underscores their emphasis on providing agents with immersive experiences, allowing them to better understand and promote the cruise line’s offerings.
Two of the scheduled fam trips will be on the vessel Ambience, departing from London Tilbury. Agents will embark on an eight-night voyage named the ‘Majestic Fjordland’ on July 14, and a seven-night ‘Autumn Fjordland’ journey commencing on September 26. These trips are designed to highlight the breathtaking landscapes and unique travel experiences available through Ambassador Cruise Line.
For the first time, a fam trip will also set sail from a regional port, Newcastle Tyne, on the vessel Ambition. This third itinerary, an eight-night ‘River Seine Experience & Antwerp’, begins on October 19. This marks a new chapter for the line’s operation strategy, showcasing their commitment to regional engagement and accessibility.
According to Karen Cameron, the divisional sales manager for the north, these trips are a gesture of appreciation for the hard work undertaken by key agent partners. She expressed anticipation for showcasing the cruise line’s “brilliant, premium value offering” to their trade colleagues, thus fortifying the mutual relationship between the agents and Ambassador Cruise Line.
The initiative reflects a strategic effort to allow agents to experience the product firsthand, reinforcing the belief that personal experience plays a key role in effective marketing and sales. By positioning their agents to encounter the “warmest welcome at sea”, the cruise line aims to enhance its market presence and reputation.
Ambassador Cruise Line’s expanded fam trip programme signifies a strategic enhancement of agent collaboration and experiential learning.
