Ambassador Cruise Line has strategically bolstered its trade team with the appointment of Ryan Readman as the new Business Development Manager for trade sales, effective from the 3rd of April. Formerly a trade support executive at Scenic Group, Readman brings a wealth of industry experience to his new role, reporting directly to divisional sales managers Louise Tansey and Karen Cameron. Readman expressed his enthusiasm, noting the critical timing in Ambassador’s development as it seeks to showcase its premium-value offerings to esteemed trade partners.
Andrew Santry’s promotion from a senior reservations specialist to Business Development Executive further illustrates the internal mobility and recognition efforts within the organisation. Santry’s prior experience in the contact centre positions him as a well-equipped addition to the business development team, promising more robust support for trade partners.
Within the reservations sector, Katie O’Doherty’s elevation to Reservations Assistant Manager represents a significant step in her career at Ambassador, with Michelle Shields and Rebecca Dedman joining the team as Reservations Specialists. Michelle Shields brings over two decades of experience in the travel industry to her new role, commencing her duties on the 19th of April. Shortly thereafter, Rebecca Dedman will assume her position on the 24th of April, further strengthening the reservations team.
Nicola Harper, head of distribution at Ambassador, has voiced her satisfaction with the recent appointments, underlining the importance of their trade partners’ success. The expansion of the trade team is a strategic move to ensure more comprehensive engagement with partners through planned store visits, training sessions, and ship visit opportunities. This aligns with Ambassador’s commitment to providing essential support and resources to their commercial associates.
To further enhance their trade outreach, Ambassador Cruise Line is actively recruiting for additional Business Development Managers for groups and the northern region. Complementing these efforts, the company has announced the continuation of its travel agent concession programme for 2023/24, offering agents an opportunity to experience the line’s vessels, Ambience and Ambition.
Ambassador Cruise Line’s strategic appointments and expansions reinforce its commitment to enhancing trade relationships and delivering premium-value services.
