Ambassador Cruise Line has unveiled its travel agent concession programme for the 2023/24 season, marking its return for a second year. This initiative provides travel agents the opportunity to experience the line’s vessels, Ambience and Ambition, at specially reduced rates. The announcement is particularly timely as the Ambition is poised for its inaugural voyage in May, having received notable environmental updates at the Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany.
Agents participating in the programme can take advantage of competitive fares, starting from £50 per person per night. Furthermore, additional savings are offered, such as a 15% discount on any drinks package and a 25% reduction on port parking fees. These concessions apply to cruises lasting up to 15 nights, providing a comprehensive experience at a fraction of the usual cost.
The benefits are, however, subject to availability and are restricted to a maximum of 10 cabins per sailing. Agents may secure a single concession booking per year, underscoring the exclusivity of the offer. To qualify for these concessions, agents must have completed at least one prior booking with Ambassador and furnish proof of their employment status, including their ABTA number.
Full compliance with Ambassador’s health and safety protocols is mandatory for all guests, ensuring that everyone on board is fully insured with Covid-19 cover and vaccinated in accordance with the prevailing company policies. This requirement underscores Ambassador’s commitment to prioritising health and safety.
Nicola Harper, the head of distribution at Ambassador, emphasised the importance of the concession scheme, stating, “Our valued trade partners continue to be a priority for us. Following the success of the agent concession programme last year, we wanted to continue to give agents the opportunity to sail on our ships and learn about the Ambassador brand.” This sentiment reflects Ambassador’s strategic intent to deepen relationships with its trade partners, enhancing their ability to promote the brand effectively.
The continuation of Ambassador’s concession programme exemplifies its dedication to fostering strong partnerships with travel agents.
