AmaWaterways has proactively opened bookings for its 2026 river cruises as a response to the exceptionally strong demand experienced during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The company is offering an extensive range of itineraries, spanning Europe, Egypt, Asia, and Colombia, thereby providing a diverse array of cultural and scenic experiences for its clientele.
In 2024 and 2025, AmaWaterways is set to launch seven new ships across Portugal, Egypt, Colombia, and various European destinations. This expansion will continue into 2026 with the introduction of two additional vessels, underscoring the company’s commitment to enhancing its fleet and service offerings.
Travellers can enhance their cruise experience by adding pre- and post-cruise land packages. These packages offer enriched itineraries, including visits to iconic sites such as Angkor Wat in Cambodia, urban explorations in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, as well as cultural excursions in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 2026 itineraries feature new excursions, particularly on the Rhine and Moselle rivers. For instance, the Captivating Rhine and Enchanting Rhine itineraries now include a stop in Utrecht, adding to their appeal. Moreover, during the Christmas season, guests can opt for a walking tour in Baden-Baden or visit Strasbourg’s centuries-old Christmas market.
Among the most anticipated voyages is the AmaSofia, which will sail on the Danube River from May 24, 2026, following the 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary between Amsterdam and Budapest. Meanwhile, the AmaMaya will traverse the Mekong, offering voyages like the Charms of the Mekong and Riches of the Mekong, with opportunities to explore the vineyards of Bordeaux during their journey.
AmaWaterways continues to innovate in river cruising, offering rich experiences for discerning travellers.
