In an innovative move responding to the rising demand for sober travel options, Flash Pack has introduced a lineup of alcohol-free holidays, now available for booking in time for Sober September. These new trips are designed to cater to travellers keen on wellness and mindful consumption. With destinations set in Iceland, Puerto Rico, and Bali, the offerings appeal to both sober individuals and those ‘sober curious’.
The inclusion of a sobriety coach, Bob Marier, for the Bali segment underscores the commitment to providing an enriching experience, bolstering the journey with guidance and personal development. Participants will engage in activities such as purification rituals and flying yoga, amidst Bali’s serene landscapes.
Bali, with its strong cultural backdrop, offers travellers the chance to explore ancient practices such as creating Jamu, a traditional herbal drink. Priced from £3,040, the Bali itinerary aims to deliver a profound personal and cultural immersion, distinct from typical tourism experiences.
Meanwhile, ‘Unknown Iceland’ and ‘Tropical Puerto Rico’ are structured as five-day excursions, priced at £3,200 and £2,155 respectively. The trips emphasise exploring local culture and natural beauty sans the influence of alcohol, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in the environment and activities offered.
According to Lee Thompson, Flash Pack’s co-founder, these trips foster a tightly-knit community atmosphere amongst like-minded individuals, enhancing the overall travel experience. Such initiatives resonate with a notable 60% of Flash Pack’s clientele, who identify as light or non-drinkers, aligning with the broader movement towards health-conscious lifestyles.
The sober travel movement is expanding, offering fulfilling experiences that enrich the spirit without alcohol.
