The Advantage Travel Partnership has strategically initiated its largest campaign to date, christened ‘Navigate New Horizons’, with the objective of significantly boosting cruise sales and heightening member engagement. A webinar marked the commencement of this ambitious initiative, capturing the participation of over 100 Advantage members, all keen to refine their cruise promotion strategies.
Key components of the campaign include the publication of Navigate Magazine, accessible both online and in print, along with an exclusive intranet hub tailored for members. This hub is replete with digital assets, banners, and cruise video content designed to support the sale of cruises, thus equipping members with a comprehensive toolkit to optimise their customer outreach efforts.
A notable consumer-facing aspect of the initiative is the launch of Advantage’s inaugural prize draw, enticing members’ customers with the opportunity to win a five or seven-night European fly-cruise. This innovative approach is aimed at driving customer acquisition and bolstering the appeal of cruising to potential customers.
According to a member survey conducted by Advantage, there is a perceptible surge in the popularity of the cruise sector, with a particular emphasis on the untapped market of individuals who are ‘Yet to Cruise’. Research by the industry body Clia corroborates this, revealing that 71% of this demographic are poised to explore the cruise market, signifying a robust potential for booking growth.
Jonny Peat, senior commercial manager for cruise at the Advantage Travel Partnership, highlighted the strategic relevance of the cruise segment within their commercial framework, which currently generates over £0.65 billion in annual revenue. Peat articulates the ongoing commitment to exploring innovative support methods for members, affirming that the Cruise Month represents a pivotal opportunity to secure new bookings and convert those inclined but yet to experience cruising.
The ‘Navigate New Horizons’ campaign positions Advantage Travel for expanded engagement and growth within the cruise sector.
