Gyronautics provider Skyworks has announced that Deborah Wince-Smith, president and CEO of the US Council on Competitiveness, will join its strategic board of advisors, the company said.

In that role, she will facilitate global understanding of the transformative capabilities of gyronautics, the science of sustained autorotative flight, and promote opportunities for Skyworks´ innovative technology to aid developing nations in enhancing their aviation capability.

An internationally renowned leader on competitiveness, innovation strategy, and international economic policy, Ms. Wince-Smith is an expert in technology commercialization. She spearheaded the groundbreaking 2004 National Innovation Initiative (NII) that played a pivotal role in creating a reinvigorated US competitiveness movement and launched state and regional initiatives catalyzing a global focus on innovation driven growth. 

Skyworks Global Inc., is an expert in the study and design of sustained autorotative flight represented by the company´s gyroplane technology. Skyworks has more than 40 patents with several more underway, all obtained in an effort to radically change not only the way gyroplanes are perceived, but also the way they are utilized.
