A-Rosa River Cruises has announced a significant expansion of its 2024 excursion programme by adding over 50 new trips, bringing the total number of options to an impressive 650. This expansion is designed to offer passengers a more diverse array of destinations and experiences, enhancing their journey through Europe’s scenic river landscapes.
Among the new excursions, travellers can anticipate engaging in small group tours and various cultural activities across European regions. Notably, options such as a tour of the Douro region’s Quinta da Pacheca wine area, complete with a sumptuous Portuguese meal, are on offer. These smaller, more intimate group settings are intended to provide a richer cultural immersion.
With the introduction of smaller vessels, specifically the A-Rosa Alea and A-Rosa Clea, the cruise line is capitalising on enhanced docking flexibility. These ships will begin their voyages on the Rhine come April, and their reduced size allows them to navigate directly into the heart of ports, thus offering passengers more direct access to exploration opportunities.
A-Rosa is actively encouraging guests to plan their itinerary by introducing a new discount programme: passengers who pre-book three or more excursions can avail themselves of a 15% discount. This initiative is likely to appeal to those keen on maximising their travel experiences while maintaining cost-efficiency.
The flexibility of A-Rosa’s offerings is underscored by Managing Director Lucia Rowe’s comment on the nature of river cruising. She states, “River cruising is all about exploring the destinations you sail through and our latest excursion offering offers some unforgettable ways to do just that.” Passengers can select from group tours, exclusive tours, or even opt to explore independently, ensuring that there is an option to suit every traveller’s preference.
A-Rosa’s extended excursion programme is set to enhance the travel experience by broadening cultural engagements and offering a variety of flexible touring options.
