Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation has announced it plans to establish its footprint in the Montreal region of Quebec, Canada with the opening of a SpaceJet Center in Montreal, the company said.
Having launched the Mitsubishi SpaceJet family of aircraft earlier this year and opened a US headquarters in Renton, Washington, the company seeks to prepare for the next phase of its global growth.
The company said its presence in Montreal adds to its footprint in major global aerospace hubs, including Nagoya and Washington State. In its first year in the Montreal area, Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation intends to create around 100 jobs focused on certification and entry into service of the Mitsubishi SpaceJet products.
Japan-based Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation develops, produces, sells and supports the Mitsubishi SpaceJet family of next-generation regional jets, which offer the most spacious cabins, widest economy seats, highest aisle clearance and most overhead bin capacity of any aircraft in their class.
