Honeywell (NYSE: HON) has announced it is joining forces with tracking data company, FlightAware, to bring a new level of advanced flight tracking support to operations control centers and business jet owners, the company said.

This partnership will provide customers of Honeywell´s GoDirect Flight Services with access to more real-time information — including aircraft speed, altitude, position and estimated time of arrival — at no additional cost so they can plan the safest and most efficient route available.

Users of Honeywell´s GoDirect Flight Services, which serves as an extension of a customer´s flight operations team, will have access to FlightAware´s aggregated flight information from data link position reports, air traffic control radar systems in over 45 countries, and FlightAware´s worldwide network of terrestrial Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) receivers in over 180 countries.

Honeywell Aerospace products and services are found on commercial, defense and space aircraft, and its turbochargers are used by nearly every automaker and truck manufacturer around the world. The Aerospace business unit develops solutions for more fuel-efficient automobiles and airplanes, more direct and on-time flights, safer flying and runway traffic, along with aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity services, logistics, and more.
