On 18th December 2025, London-based luxury media publication Luxuri Awards named The Polo Club of Boca Raton its Luxury Residential Country Club of the Year. The recognition went to a club that has operated across 1,100 acres of South Florida for nearly four decades — one of the longer-running private residential communities of its kind in the region.
The Polo Club opened in 1986 and has since built an offering around two championship golf courses, a tennis and pickleball complex with international standing, a full wellness centre, and a social and dining calendar aimed at members drawn from business, finance, sport, and broader public life. The 1,100-acre site sits in Boca Raton, Florida, and operates as both a residential community and a private club — a combination that places it in a relatively distinct category within the South Florida luxury market.
The club’s stated philosophy separates it from developments that lead with facilities alone. Its leadership argues that sustained quality in private community living depends on governance, culture, and long-term stewardship as much as on amenities. That positioning — placing institutional care alongside physical infrastructure — formed part of what Luxuri evaluated in its selection process.
Luxuri assessed nominees across three criteria: governance and vision, member experience, and long-term impact. The publication, which covers luxury travel, lifestyle, real estate, design, wellness, and culture, conducts its selections through a process it describes as editorial and research-led, drawing on industry data and expert assessment. The Polo Club emerged from that process as the category winner.
In response to the award, the club’s leadership acknowledged it as confirmation of a long-held belief: that genuine quality in luxury living comes through structure and care rather than excess. The club indicated it would continue prioritising the conditions under which members feel both belonging and continuity.
