Cadman Cranes has reinforced its fleet with the addition of the Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1, a new five-axle all-terrain crane that stands as the company’s new flagship model. This acquisition signifies a substantial enhancement in Cadman Cranes’ lifting capabilities, as the LTM 1230-5.1 is rated for a 230-tonne lifting capacity. Such ability places it among the most formidable in its class, facilitating the handling of a variety of complex lifting operations.
The design of the Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 includes a 75-metre telescopic boom, which can be extended with lattice extensions to reach a towering hoist height of 111 metres. This extensive reach, combined with a lifting radius of 86 metres, marks a significant upgrade in the machine’s operational range. This addition allows Cadman Cranes to tackle projects that were previously beyond reach, thus broadening their service offerings.
An important feature of this crane is its operation on biodiesel HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil), aligning with modern environmental standards and reducing the overall carbon footprint of Cadman Cranes’ operations. Using HVO not only demonstrates a commitment to sustainable practices but also sets a benchmark for environmental responsibility within the industry.
In a statement, Managing Director Matt Waddingham described the Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 as a transformative asset for the company.
